hello.
I have been given some information on Walter Durnell. He joined the Somerset Light Inf, in 1898. His service number was 5046.
He got through the Boer wars, and in 1914 re enlisted in the same regiment.
His rank was eventually a C.Q.M.Sergeant.
Can anyone tell me what awards he would have had? There is an old photo of him in civvies with a chest full of medals but they are not distinct. Any help apreciated.
thank you.

Good morning,
His medals appear to be the QSA with Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal clasps, the KSA, with both clasps, a 1914-15 Star Trio, for service in France during the Great War and also an MSM too, certainly a chest full as you say!

Hi Gerald,

Can you share the picture with us? We can then show you what the medals are.

Best wishes
