I know this is a Boer War forum but just seeking advice on a Canadian Fenian Raid medal I purchased recently. This was purchased off eBay a few weeks ago, having looked into it more the seller actually bought it from an eBay seller in Canada a month before and sold it to me £50 cheaper than what he paid for it.
Im not normally a suspicious person but I did ask about this and he stated it was original and that he had acquired another Fenian Raid medal which came with an Afghan one so he decided to get rid of it.
Are there any tell tale signs that my medal has been renamed? I cant see any faint letters but Im not expert. It would certainly be useful if I could look for the signs!
