Hi there. I'm trying to find any record of my husband's Great-Grandfather, Francis Ellis Baker. I can't find anything - I'd be so thrilled if someone could help please.

A very brief look at available folio in both WO96 and WO97 does suggest a likely match who served in the Manchester Regiment during the Anglo Boer War, he had joined the Army from the Militia, the 4th East Surrey Regiment, he was a nineteen year old shoemaker, born in Bull Ring Birmingham.
I there anything you can tell us about him.
