Good Morning Everyone......

Since we are talking about Tribute Medals and Welcome Home items here is one that I have been trying to find information on for quite a while.......

A locket given by the Town of Banff, Alberta, Canada, to 243 Private J. S. Robson, Strathcona's Horse,

It is located in the Glembow Museum, Calgary, Alberta along with his Raised Date Medal (Natal Orange Free State, Belfast and South Africa 1901) and a large number of pieces of uniform and equipment......

METAL: 18k Gold
SIZE: 1 ¾ Inches x 1 Inch x ½ Inch Thick

Private Robson is the only member of Strathcona's Horse that was from Banff and therefore I think that this is the only one in existence......

I have checked the Calgary newspapers since Banff did not have one at that time and have not been able to find anything...... I have also checked the Archives in Banff (The Whyte Museum) and there is nothing there as a large number of them were destroyed in a fire as explained to me.....

With this is also the Strathcona Medallion.....
