I have also come across this ?
It's a red bangle with carvings of plants on it with a stamp of China in it ?
I have been trying to find out its about with no luck so far.
This bangle came with a boer pen knife and a metal Tin....
any suggestions would be a great help ?

Many Thanks
Andrew

Really hard to tell but since, and this is only speculation on my part, the navy went from South Africa to China for the Boxer Rebellion in 1900, this may be from one of the crew of one of those ships.

But it depends on what it is made of, did this material exist then?

That's great thanks.
I have done a bit more research and it looks like a cinnabar bangle from China as you suggested.
looked at these items made in the early 1900s and it looks very simular..

Thank you very much for your help..
