Please find attached some photos of a Boer War Medical Officers / Surgeons Field Kit......
You can see on the kit where the straps have been removed from the rear of the kit to the side for ease of carrying......
Though not complete there are still a number of items in the main body of the kit and it looks like all the instruments are there.......
