Hello Chaps,

For your interest I would like to share my example of the New South Wales Imperial Bushman badge. I think (?) this is my only Australian badge in my collection thus far. I don't think these are especially rare but stand to be corrected. I personally like this badge, so one of my favorites.

As always comments and opinions are always welcome as are other example that you may have?

Cheerio,

Roy

Very nice, indeed! I have been looking for one for ages. There were two "bushmen" designations; "Imperial Bushmen" for those paid for by the Brit. Government and "Bushmen" for those financed by public subscription.

Thank you Linneyl,

Interesting to read your comments too.

I'm surprised I actually have found something you don't have Linneyl - beginners luck I'm sure.

Roy

Thanks for your comments! If you have a NSWIB title, you are doing very well. They are as scarce as hen's teeth here. I really don't have many ABW titles. Back in the very early noughties I had a brush with badge collecting before going back to what I really wanted to do. That is collect and research QSAs again. There were quite a number of boards of miscellaneous badges and titles at the Gun Shows of the day - and the occasional ABW item stuck out if one knew what to look for.
Well, times change and all of a sudden the title costing a few dollars at the time suddenly gets valuable. Really, there must be a lot of them about.
Anyway, glad you like seeing these little gems.
Best regards
IL.

Hello Linneyl,

Thanks you for that. I didn't realize the NSWIB badges were so rare. This one just caught my eye, so had to grab it for my small collection. I have a few more still yet to show, so hopefully they will be of interest.

Interesting to hear of your passion for collecting/researching QSAs. I don't really collect medals but do have a small group I have put together that bear my family name, most of these are WWI but I do have a single example (QSA) so will post this at some point. Due to historic family difficulties I grew up with almost no family history, so to somewhat make up for it I decided to collect any military item linked to my surname - thank goodness it's an unusual name and rarely crops up. Hence my single QSA example.

Cheerio,

Roy
