Following on a theme of titles, etc., of the ABW, the following is offered:

Fashioned from 45 thou. sheet brass and at one time highly polished, the lugs on the rear are similar in shape to that of the CDF badge. As a matter of interest, when encountered in a second-hand shop, this little badge had attached a label reading "made from a shell casing". Might have been, too.
Throughout the campaign, the RPR were of such value that a 4th Bn., was organised just before the close of the war. The RPR not only replaced and repaired track and way; they were armed and trained to act as a fighting force a considerable distance from the railways.
Regards
IL.

Linneyl,

Another lovely badge you have there. You do have a knack for digging these up Linneyl - well done!

And lovely to see this one - yet another for me to keep an eye out for.

Cheerio,

Roy
