Hello Chaps,

I wanted to share my latest find (pic attached) of a shoulder title (or hat badge?) denoting 'PofW'. I'm thinking this is the 'Prince Of Wales (Light Horse) but I'm not 100% sure. Would a more experienced member wish to comment - confirm or otherwise?

Your thinking is correct. Raised in Cape Town Jan/Feb 1901, and had a fairly lively time under Col. Bethune. Stirling gives a good write up for them. By beginning of July, PoWLH had a strength of about 500.
A very nice badge; never seen one before.

Many thanks indeed for this confirmation. I was just about sure this attribution was correct but it alway pays to get a second opinion. I was able to trade this with a friend and although not a badge I have experience of, it just felt right, so I thought I was worth taking a chance on.

For your interest I will attach a photo of the back.

Linneyl, do you know they wore a distinct Slouch hat badge or would this example be a possibility?
