I realize this may be something of a long shot but would anyone happen to have a slouch hat badge to Steinaecker's Horse..?

It may be my eyes but I cannot see any reference in Owen's

Bill Woolmore's book : "Steinaecker's Horsemen" illustrates a sketch of the SH badge and shoulder titles. He does not, however, show an actual photograph. The shoulder titles are just an "S-H" and the badge itself is intertwined S and H, surmounted by a QVC and having a title bar at 6 o'clock. Woolmore says that Owen illustrates the badge. Unfortunately, I don't have Owen.

The badge is no. 1771 in Owen. Curzon shows neither the badge nor the title. The only SH title I have seen belongs to a local collector.

Many thanks indeed - very helpful. I also found the reference in Owen's too.

Okay so my reason for asking is that I have just grabbed a badge that may (?) be associated with this unit. Of course it could also be nothing to do with it either.

Needless to say as soon as it arrives I will share some photos on this thread for discussion.

In the meantime if anyone has any insignia to this unit then I for one would like to see some images?
