Did the BVC have any cap badges or insignia of any kind and if so could someone post pictures of them ?

From what I understand they did not have an official cap badge at least I have never heard of or seen one..... I have heard of a set of shoulder letters BVC but have not seen any...…

Yes, they did, BVC was originally worn and subsequently, PLH, they were incised rather than cast, which would be expected from their Johannesburg manufacturer.
Shoulder titles were not generally worn by class C SAMIF, there were exceptions, in particular the larger regiments, like the South African Light Horse, as well as the various class E units, who often wore the generic shoulder titles, but, the latter were often made in Great Britain, rather than by the Jewellers in the Cape or Natal.
