The link that Mike provided includes some explanations of why these are fake flags including the similarity of the font. Their good condition is another factor (which Berenice also mentions).

The suppliers' ability to produce these flags to order would explain their recent prevalence.

The flags are very difficult to authenticate but is certainly a case of caveat emptor. I feel sorry and angry about those misled into purchasing them.
