I hope someone is able to help identify this uniform. Could it be someone in the 3rd East Lancashire Regiment?

I have been helping someone research their ancestry who served in the Boer War. The family has this image who is unnamed and referred in the family as "The Soldier"

Their ancestor was George Marsden 3rd East Lancashire Regiment No 7244 who attested at Burnley on 15 Jan 1897.
