After discovering that it was possible to apply for my wife's great grandfather's unclaimed WW1 medals, we received the freshly minted trio five years ago and I'm only now in the process of mounting them for display.
This encouraged me to research my man's earlier history in the Militia,and Boer War. My next project is to hopefully create a display of my findings so far, which will entail sourcing and obtaining copies of medals,clasps.and uniform badges,and cloth insignia etc
I can think of no better site to ask for help than this one,and any offers in this will be gratefully accepted.
