David

Seeing the price paid for the Ormond pair has made me feel a little better about the price I recently paid for ILH Trooper Gorton's QSA (wounded at Elandslaagte [gunshot wound in the groin]and died of wounds after Wagon Hill [seven wounds to the body and five to the head]).

Regards
Brett

Hello David,
A superb pair, but, not cheap, though the recipient "paid" rather more.

Looking for information on Lt Walker a moment ago, I came across this list of casualties of the ILH at Naauwpoort.

Hi

Another example of spelling mistakes: 1235 Cpl Eash is listed below Lt Ormond. It should read 1235 Cpl H Nash. I have his QSA, named to Tpr: on the Supplementary Roll his rank is given as Cpl

Right then...here I go...I know this is a rather old post..but hoping someone may still be alive an kicking out there that can and or will respond.

I'm attaching a picture of my moms father..my Poppa. Long story short...he served during the Boer War and First War.

What I'm looking for..or rahter hoping..is that someone could look and the attached picture and give me their thoughts on whether the collor dogs and cap badge are those of the ILH.

Thanks so much!

Rod Loesch
