One question I have been considering is whether to rename some of the regiments named in the Imperial Units index page where the name has a prefix such as Duke of Wellington's, King's etc.

Here are the first few entries:

2 (Alexandra Princess of Wales's Own) Yorkshire Regiment
3 (Buffs) East Kent Regiment
4 (Duke of Albany's Ross-shire Buffs) Seaforth Highlanders
5 (Duke of Cambridge's Own) Middlesex Regiment
6 (Duke of Edinburgh's) Wiltshire Regiment
7 (Duke of Wellington's) West Riding Regiment

Would it be better if the bracket prefix was moved to the end the name? For example:

2 Yorkshire Regiment (Alexandra Princess of Wales's Own)
3 East Kent Regiment (Buffs)
4 Seaforth Highlanders (Duke of Albany's Ross-shire Buffs)
5 Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's Own)
6 Wiltshire Regiment (Duke of Edinburgh's)
7 (Duke of Wellington's) West Riding Regiment

Hi David......

In answer to your question I would have it the second version..... The Commonly Known Name, as normally found on the medal followed by the formal title......

That is the way that I hace catalogued my collection......

Great Form......

Mike,

Thanks for this. I have made the change this morning and think the listing is now much easier to use.
