Is there an area on this forum dedicated to the 1902 Coronation Medal Rolls? This is one area where complete contingents especially from Australia were composed completely of South African Veterans.

George,

There has been a thread on the Coronation Medal to South Africa units: www.angloboerwar.com/forum/11-research/2...-south-african-units .

New threads for other attendees at the Coronation would be welcome.

Kind regards
David

Good Morning Everyone.....

David I know someone who has the roll for the Canadian Contingent and have sent him an email to see if he will allow us to print it.....

Here are a couple of things that I have had for a while that might be of some interest.....

Pass # 592 - Trooper J. Williamson, Natal Carbineers
and
Pass # 1707 - Gunner W. Murdock, Royal Canadian Field Artillery

The annoying thing is that probably every Colonial trooper who went to the coronation got one of these-these are the first I have seen and that's the problem with paperwork most gets discarded, just as well the medals were made of silver is all I can say.
