St. John Medal for South Africa 1899-1902 (365. Pte. M. Wood. North Staffs Corps.)
M. Wood served as an Orderly with the North Staffordshire Corps, St. John Ambulance Brigade in South Africa during the Boer War, being discharged sick to Cape Town on 9 July 1900. He subsequently joined the South African Constabulary and served with ‘C’ Division in 1901 and 1902, before being discharged on 19 September 1902.
