He has one KSA entry and two QSA entries; one for QSA (5) and this for QSA (6)

David and others interested
Guide A.J.Hunter's DCM recommendation is shown in the Buxton book as - "For his excellent services to the Department for the whole war. Though troubled by a wound received during the early part of the war, and unable to use one arm, he has hardly missed one day's work. Of unquestionable gallantry and ability". MiD LG 29/7/02 and DCM LG 31/10/02.
I can't find an entry in Palmer for Guide A.J.Hunter being wounded; nor is there any entry for him in Buxton's alphabetical list. Which does not, of course, mean that his wounding never happened!
Re the naming on the CGHGSM, I have never seen one named that way. A late issue?
Regards
IL.

Hi
Hunter's CGHGSM was issued early in 1905 so it is "Cape Naming"

Thank you for that information, IL and Henk.

Do you have a view how frequently upside down naming is seen on the CGHGSM?. It is very rare on QSAs in my experience.
