I have just been through the AGS roll (WO100/91) but failed to find Roberts for BCA 1899-1900.

Hi
Interesting that eMedals gives an "attribution" to such a patently incorrectly made-up group! They did not pick up that Roberts died of wounds in 1916 and was issued a WWI Trio.

I bought the DCM and trio from a London dealer in 1984. He told me that a lady had brought in the 4 medals as being salvaged after a fire.
The DCM and AVM is 100% original.

The Star and BWM is not skimmed and is named in the small 1940's style font. However, no mention of a replacement on MIC.

Roberts must have been quite a soldier: what a pity that his full-size group is irreplaceably incomplete! At least the DCM survived.
