British Medals (Rennie Alcock) currently have two for sale on their website. Tpr. E. Oldfield Wilgefontein R.A. @ £270 and Tpr. R.J. Lund Malton R.A. @ £230. They're so infrequently seen on the market I'm wondering if those prices are 'about right' or a bit on the steep side?

I think I am correct in saying that only the Dundee Rifle Assoc. received a Battle clasp.
Here is "H.T.Brown of Dundee Rifle Assctn:"

Having had over 40 years association with Rifle Associations here, I have a soft spot for this one.
Regards
IL.

IL,

That's correct.

The Ladysmith TG comprised 3 RA (the Ladysmith Rifle Association, later called the Ladysmith Town Guard Rifle Association, the Klip River Rifle Association and the Natal Government Railway Rifle Association) but their medals were named to the LTG rather than the individual RA.

There are a number of RA medals on the market just now.

Three in last week's DNW auction

QSA (0) ((Leader F. N. Meyer, Camperdown Dist. R.A.). Sold for £360

QSA (0) (Tpr. W. Webster. Malton Dist. R.A.). Sold for £170

QSA (0) (Tpr. D. Connell. Nottingham Road R.A.). Sold for £220

in the next DNW auction:

QSA (0) (President G. Ross. Howick R.A.) a slightly later issue,

Two with British Medals

QSA (0). (Tpr. E. Oldfield, Wilgefontein R.A.). £270

QSA (0) (Tpr. R.J. Lund, Malton Dist. R.A.). £230, Fixed suspender.

Does anyone know of any more?

The fixed suspender on Lund's medal is interesting as the roll from which it was issued is dated 8th of July 1901, I doubt if it is original to that particular medal.
