Hello Mike

The data I supplied FmP did not get displayed correctly, will find out where the issue lies.

The Register is correct.

Baillie enlisted as Trooper 13311 into 68th Coy (Paget's Horse) - former service NW Mounted Police.

I guess this is why folk are excited.

His papers are on FmP.

Thanks Meurig.......

I think that answers the question...... I wonder what I would get for an Imperial Yeomanry to a Private who's previous service was Regimental Barber, N.W. Mounted Police.....

Mike
Could be the offering price(s) are due to Family interest? As I recall, one "Hamilton- Baillie" was present in The Great Escape and I seem to have heard the family name as prominent later in the flying business.

Hi Mike, I am having trouble navigating this forum. I sent a detailed message but it has not appeared. Robert Hamilton Baillie of Paget's Horse was a relative of Canada's Gov Gen, Lord Aberdeen, John Hamilton Gordon. He attended the 1897 Jubilee with NWMP, picture is on the web.
He was a Station {Ranch] Overseer in Longreach, Queensland when WW1 broke out. He enlisted in 9th Btn Australian Infantry and was killed at the landing of Gallipoli circa 25th April 1915. His mother was an Australian. I purchased his death plaque a few years ago.
