From Steinaecker's Horsemen by Woolmore. I strongly suggest you hunt up a copy of this scarce book as it gives an excellent account of the unit.
Regards
IL.

I was the lucky bidder on Hennessy's medal.
Initially I thought it had been sold but there must have been a healthy reserve on it as it reappeared several times.
The medal differs from the photos on the previous auctions, it doesn't have the 'MID' emblem and still has the original ribbon.

Overall, very pleased to take custody of it and a very good account of the incident where he was awarded the MID in Bill Woolmore's book.

Now, to wait for the next Noble's Auction.
