Dear Forum Members,

I have come into possesion of this group mounted by Spink, and am currently trying to add ownership of the recipient.

The QSA has the CC, RoM, OFS, Trans & SA01 clasps.

I understand the CC and RoM shouldn't normally be worn together, but on miniatures that might be a personal embelishmemt to have done so.

I have a copy of the RoM roll and most a long list of Imperial Russian Order of St Stanislas from the LG..but cannot make clear link (as well as using my WW1 knowledge)

My gut feel is that it is an Australian or Imperial Light Horse man, but cannot make a named link.

So am seeing if the steemed wisdom of this Forum may throw any additional info on them

Trying to upload photo so bear with.

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy

If I am not correct, the full size medals where sold in the same sale but the DSO was missing off the mounting bar .A few lots separated the 2 in the auction.
I was attracted by the Russian order.
I just can’t remember the name or unit.

Regards
Adrian

Cheers Adrian, great minds, but sadly not as I own those too.

They belong to Lt Col Ernest James Martyn Nash DSO Army Service Corps. Late Trooper EJM Nash Gun Section 73rd Coy 19th Btn IY.

QSA with CC OFS and Trans Clasps, the group will be united with his grand daughter hopefully in few weeks after I posted on the GW Forum.

Regards

Andy

Andy,

Presumably it is a GV DSO?
