I have acquired a no clasp QSA to the abovenamed and, in desperation, am throwing myself on the mercy and goodwill of fellow Forum members

Hyde, like so many of his ilk, is an absolute enigma with the only information surfacing being a post box number in Germiston, courtesy of the medal roll.

Is there any way to track down the identity of this individual? Even knowing that he was British and not of SA extraction will be of assistance.

Any and all help/ideas/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Rory, I've spent some time on this this morning and wasn't able to come up with anything. I was searching the names of various ABW transport companies and Hyde and then various combinations of Germiston and Hyde. Have you searched the various SA Archives for a possible death notice for him?

Can you confirm if it is H.C Hyde and not perhaps H.G Hyde?
