Thomas Nicholls, a twenty one year old miner from Sedgley joined the Worcestershire Regiment, the wretched "Old and Bold" upon the 18th of June 1890, recalled from the Reserve, he would go on to serve in South Africa on campaign from the 18th of March 1900 until the 10th of August 1902, before being finally discharged.

Thank you very much, may i ask how many clasps did he earn and what is the difference in the Worcester Rgt. and the Worcestershire Rgt.

Nicholls entitlement is not shown in WO97, but, a glance at WO100/124 and WO100/330 confirms both medals and four clasps, with Cape Colony and Wittebergen upon the Queens.
His regiment was the Worcestershire Regiment
