Hi, I'm researching an ancestor called "C.Flagg" who served in the St Helena Volunteer Sharpshooters! not sure when he joined up!
I'm trying to find out if he's on the Unit Medal Rolls for the above Unit Please? and any detailed history on the above unit Please?
Thank You!

St Helena,

41 Private C Flagg is listed on the roll for the St Helena Volunteer Sharpshooters (WO100/299p199). He was awarded the QSA. A note against his name says he was employed by the Army Service Corps.

This post gives you an idea of how his medal would look: www.angloboerwar.com/forum/2-introductio...helena?start=6#59779

There is some information on the unit here: www.angloboerwar.com/unit-information/so...unteer-sharpshooters
