I think you might be referring to the DCM/QSA group to " Guide H.Loxton, Field Intelligence Dept" (EVII DCM), "Serjt. H.Loxton, Natal Guides" (QSA clasps OFS and Transvaal) currently in my custody. I found the attachment sent by Mike Rowan to be extremely hard to read (even with a magnifying glass) and apologise in advance if I have misread it. Several Loxtons were awarded the DCM during the ABW.

Apropos the citation - they were decidedly "succinct" in days of old - didn't give much away in terms of detail. I note the combination of OFS and Transvaal clasps - quite a few had this anomalous allocation of bars - despite being the NATAL Guides, they operated elsewhere as well. Regards Rory
