Given that QSA (3) was issued and looking at the roll, I would expect these to be CC, OFS and Tr, not the 3 clasps on the medal CC DoL OFS. If he was eligible for DoL, would not a QSA (4) CC DoL OFS Tr have be issued?

It would be good to see the rim too as the medal is named to the 4th DG but the roll is for the 3rd DG.

Hello
I now own the QSA to
3591 Private Connor J QSA (3) DoL OFS Tr
Inscribed to the 4th Dragoons.
It’s a partial reunite with his India 95. Just his KSA and LSGC to find.
I now have three QSAs to the 4th.

I have just bought a 1914 Star to a Pte Henry Dingley 4Dgds.
I have been informed that he served in S.Africa with the 5Dgds 3667 also with the 7Dgds.
Two rolls with 4 Clasps OFS CC Elandslaagte, D of Ladysmith
He then served in India with 7Dgs.
He certainly did the rounds.
My question is would anyone know where his QSA/KSA might be.
QSA Clasps include Elandslaagte, one of the rarest QSA clasps. Also Ladysmith.
Thanks for looking Nic

Nic,

It is great that you have been able to re-unite these two. Hope you are as successful with the others.

Nic,

I have searched my archive of catalogues and can only see Dingley's 1914 Star appearing at auction.

There are service papers for him.

Harry Dingley. Born 1873 in Luton, Kent.
