Here is a new addition for your viewing pleasure, all contained in a Scottish Christmas Box.....

Shipping News:

Albert Docks, Mar 29. The Rakaia sailed at noon today with 12 officers and 203 men. They were:
1/West India Regiment, Major H A Hill
2/Royal Scottish Fusiliers, Captains G J Ferguson and Buchanan, 2nd Lieutenant H C Crichton and 100 men.
2/Cheshire Regiment, Lieutenant A S Ash and 100 men.

A very nice collection, Its always good to have documentation and personal letters with the medals I think. Thanks for sharing.
A little snippet on the ship for you.
SS Rakaia (1895-1934)
Built by R & W Hawthorn, Leslie & Co Ltd in their Hebburn Yard, Rakaia was launched on 25 April 1895 for the New Zealand Shipping Co Ltd, Plymouth.
