Shaun,

The is more detail for 182 George Jessop/Jessup. This George's mother was Mrs W Jessuo, c/o Mrs E Glendining, 183 Upper Bree Street, Cape Town. He was 39 when he enlisted for the ILU and had served in the 2nd ILH for 1 year and 66 days.

Hope that help to narrow down your man?

Best wishes
David

William Inglis, Pte
WIA & POW Spionkop

William Inglis was Wounded in Action and taken as a Prisoner of War at Spionkop.

The Times List - January 1900:

From the Times list of released POW's from Waterval (yellow highlight):

I suspect this is the man behind the medal:

David - Another huge favour to ask; would you be able to share the Attestation Papers for William Inglis so that I can confirm if he was the Scottish born man.

Thanks.
