Please forgive the possibly misleading title to this post - I have acquired a QSA to a Conductor, one C.D.G. Rex of the Imperial Transport Service. The only roll I could find is one where is on the Staff of the Julius Weil company. There does not appear to be a roll to the Imperial Transport Service and there is also no details of them under the Unit Information section of this forum.

Is that all there is to the man or I am I missing something?

Very possibly Frank - all the Rex's I have encountered hail from there - this could be my first medal with a Royal connection - no matter that his claim has been debunked.

You have found an omission which I am in the process of remedying.

Here is an analysis of the Weil roll in WO100/216 showing non-native recipients and the number listed and how many medals were returned, not issued or issued off a different roll:



Available for issue: Around 251. Fewer marked as issued.

I have added the Crosbie information to generate a total of 856 names.



I presume the Crosbie men's medals were also named to the Imperial Transport Service? There are no examples to confirm. The few medals that I have seen all come from Weil's.
