Hello David
I have in my possession a QSA to 7054 Pte J McGlenan - 1st Batt Vol. Manchester Regt. purchased in 2016 in the UK.
No medal rolls with the medal which is seems to be renamed, and there may be some mystery surrounding the legitimacy of the bars.
The bars top to bottom; Paardeberg, Relief of Mafeking, Elandslaagte and Defence of Ladysmith,
The last 2 bars are credible but ?? what about the D of M and Paardeberg?
I appreciate your guidance and wisdom.

Evyn,

That is quite a set of clasps!

Looking at the rolls, he served in the 1st Volunteer Active Service Company and earned the clasp Natal on WO100/198p434. The note says he was invalided home from Natal. His name is crossed through on the supplementary roll of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, WO100/198p440.

So, it appears that he is only entitled to the Natal clasp, Evyn.
