My latest acquisition is a Talana clasp to the Dundee Town Guard. McGirk
If anyone has any knowledge of him I would be most appreciative of the information.

Apologies Adrian - Steers beckoned and I was in haste! It is MA - his name seems to have been Max Alfred Huhn, later changed to McGirk - Benjamin was his brother.

McGirk, M A,
Dundee Town Guard
QSA (1) Talana
Occupation builder. Later served as Private, 1st Dundee Borough Reserves in the Natal Rebellion, 1906.
Ref: QSA: WO100/281p12
B McGirk was a mason so construction must have run in the family.
