I have long had a QSA to 3286 Pte. Michael Smith who, according to the officer to whom he was Batman, was twice wounded in the Natal campaign. His records don't indicate any specific date or action and I wondered if the Casualty Rolls (which I don't have) may indicate a date or two?

Would be appreciated if someone could oblige.

Regards

A brief glance at Palmer (as Ian calls it, or, the wretched phone book!) suggests he was wounded at Colenso upon the 15th of December 1899!
