QSA with CC, TH, OFS, RoL, LN and Bel. to 989 TPR E. BROPHY. S.A. LT. HORSE who was MID (LG 08 Feb. 1901 p. 973)
United Fire Brigades Association (UFBA) of New Zealand Long Service silver Medal for five year's service with a further 2 years service bar.
Inscribed 'NAPIER V./F. BRIGADE' on suspension and the reverse inscribed 'FOREMAN/EDWARD BROPHY/BY THE/NAPIER/FIREBRIGADE/MAR.6. 1891'

He joined the South African Light Horse when he was 25 years old as 989 Private Edward Brophy.

Can anyone answer why he is not listed no the nominal roll? Are there attestation forms or service records available? Thanks in advance.

Edward Brophy Jr, was a plumber who lived on Vautier Street in Napier, New Zealand. In 1893 he lived with his father Edward Brophy who was a Turncock.
