The 3rd Tasmanian Contingent had a strength of around 120 men and served in South Africa between June 1900 and July 1901.

KSA (2) (Lieut: C.O.Blyth. Tasmanian I.B.)

48 Pte Charles Oscar Blyth, joined Tasmanian Infantry Regt in Oct1899; Emb.27Oct1899; RTA 03Nov1900; arrived at Tasmania 07Dec1900 and disbanded 08Dec1900; Pte Blyth to be Lieutenant from 14Mar1901 with 2nd Tasmanian Imperial Bushmen; Emb.27Mar1901; RTA 22May1902; arrived at Tasmania 25Jun1902 and disbanded 30Jun1902.
