Bradley (V.C.) and the chaps who won DCM's for Itala are well documented but, would anyone know where to find the names of the other 69th men from the 2 batteries that fought there? I have acquired the pair to 5906 Bomb. C.H. Robertson who, like many others, went "missing" at Blood River Poort on 21 September 1901, only to be released a day or so later.

I would like to determine if Robertson went on to Itala.

Regards

Rory

Only one section of the 69th was present at Itala, the Battery Digest of Service only lists the casualties. I doubt there is an official record, newspapers and letters are your best bet.

Further to my post around the 69th R.F.A. at Itala - sadly I have not been able to advance this avenue of research but, having now received the medals, I am in a position to post a few photos thereof.
