My two uncles joined Orpens Horse Regiment on the same day and both served for six months
Thee one brother , Trooper Alick Campbell Chapman [ 156 ] received the Queens medal with Cape Colony clasp for his efforts and te other brother Colin Thomas Chapman [ 155 ] did not appear to have been awarded a similar medal
Why would this have happened

Welcome to the Anglo-Boer War Forum. I have included below the copy of the Campaign Medal and Award Roll, which I have no doubt that you have already seen due to the information already provided.



Due to this Roll being finalised in Capetown, dated 19/11/1901, Colin Chapman may have collected his medal some time after this period, but the issue date for Trooper Alick Chapman of the 13/02/1903 was more than likely the time that he was eventually issued his QSA. If you have any other concerns, I can see there is an entry for 232 Trooper S. Casey where it is actually noted that 'no medal' was issued.
