Hello

I was hoping one of the very learned people on this site could help me try to attribute a group of three miniature medals I recently acquired.
The group consists of the following;
QSA, clasps CC, Wep, Tr, Witt
CGHGSM, clasp Basutoland
KSA, 2 clasps

After some research I did find a soldier on this site that seemed to match the medal group, namely;
2707 Private William Henry Lehmbeck, Cape Mounted Rifles
Unfortunately, after double checking the info it appeared that the information on the site was incorrect - he actually qualified for the Bechuanaland clasp, not the Basotoland clasp - so I started again.

So far, I've drawn a blank, so any help would be very much appreciated.

I suspect this won’t be unique.

But I would start with the Wepener roll and compare it to the COGHGS roll as both are online. They are smaller rolls. That will rule out the bulk. Then it gets harder as the rest of the QSA rolls are larger. But it is likely a colonial unit.

I started with the Wepener roll, as you suggested, and that is how I found Private Lehmbeck. It was a shame that after double checking against the COGHGSM roll that I discovered the info on the Wepener roll was inaccurate.

Not spotted anyone else that matches yet, but will keep looking.
