William Henry Reeves attested for service with the fifth Contingent for service in South Africa 30 March 1900 and was Invalided home 20 February 1901.

Ref: Hern 1006. Mor 1902/3; Laidlaw 1028.
Copper. 27.50 mm diam., 6.06 grams.

James Robert Montague was born in 1850 and was well-known businessman and auctioneer in Palmerston North, Otago, New Zealand. He ran a furniture manufacturing business and occupied and imposing building in Church Street. He died on 22 January 1901.
