Please can you help. I am trying to find details of QSA or KSA to men of the Norfolk Regiment that served in 7, 10 and 21 Mounted Infantry. Do the inscriptions give Norfolk Regiment or MI or both?

I have found only one example so far. A 1997 auction notice mentions a QSA (Cape Colony, Orange Free state, Transvaal, SA 1901, SA 1902) to 4290 Cpl. E. Howman, Norfolk Regiment. M.I. renamed.

I cannot find Howman on the QSA roll for the Norfolk Regiment. Are there be pages in the roll specifically for 7, 10 and 21 MI men not included in their parent regiments’ lists?

Rob.

Hi Rob
Surname on roll was Houman.

Regards

Dave.....

PS....looking at the Norfolk's medal rolls. Mounted Infantry seem to have their own roll regarding QSA clasp entitlement. I found a 7th MI roll also.

Rob
The script written on the left hand side of the roll reads :-
" None of the Names on this roll included in roll of 2nd Battalion "
There were 2 pages on Ancestry pertaining to the 21st Battalion MI

I found 7 pages dedicated to the 7th MI. WO 100 / 173
