A recent purchase at Noonan's was the QSA to Willem Punt - the medal was in Henk Loots' collection and, more recently in Steve (Moranthorse) possession. I have PM'd Steve but I don't think he's spotted my message.

In any event, does anyone have more information on the meeting, albeit brief one, between Churchill and Punt at Elandslaagte station when the aforementioned was on his way to Pretoria as a guest of Paul Kruger's, after the Chieveley (Frere) train incident?

I have tried to make contact with whom I think is the grandson but a reply is not yet forthcoming.

Many years back I met Celia Sandys (Churchill's Grand Daughter) whilst she was in Durban and she gave me a signed copy of her book "Churchill Wanted Dead Or Alive"
