Morton and Eden are selling a Boer War DSO group to Captain James Robert Alexander Hunter Paul, Leicestershire Regiment, at the end of the month.

DSO, QSA (4) Tal DoL, LN, Belf (Capt. J.R.A.H. Paul, Leic. Regt), KSA (2) (Capt., D.S.O.).

He joined 2nd Battalion Leicestershire Regiment on 9 September 1893 and served in the Boer War from 1899-1902. MID 8 February 1901, 10 September 1901 and 29 July 1902. He next served with the Ceylon Volunteers from 1907-12. Appointed Major, Leicester Regiment from 1912 and was attached to 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, December 1916-March 1918. He was placed on half-pay in 1919 due to ill-health.

From this write-up, do we presume the Great War medals were issued?
