A recent aquisition
32590 Trooper James Graves
11th Company 3rd Battalion Imperial Yeomanry Yorkshire Dragoons
James was born in 1878 in Waitton Norfolk, he was 23 years and 4 months when he attested at newcastle -on Tyne for the Imperial Yeomanry.
His occupation is listed as a Groom and his physical description is as follows:
Height 5ft 6inches
Weight 153lbs and a 37 inch chest measurement
Brown eyes and hair and religous denomination was Church of England.
James spent 20 days on service before serving in South Africa from 25/03/01 to 23/08/02
His QSA medal has the following clasps
S.A 1901 & 02 Cape Colony Orange Free State and Transvaal
James was also awarded the Tribute from Yorkshire Medal, this is sadly missing from the group.
Trooper Graves was discharged on the 30th August 1902
