Hi all, you may have seen my previous posts on my ancestor W.Wright.

I am now signed up to ancestry.co.uk and am getting on well, however I cant seem to search for the QSA medal role with Private William Wright - Rifle Brigade - 6367

Despite the fact that a member has searched for me before I was signed up and found him and informed me of the clasps

Can someone please guide me to the medal roll and help me find my ancestor on it? I can't seem to think why I can't?

Thanks

Josh,
Go into military records, then awards and decorations, then campaign medal rolls 1793-1949.

Hi

Yep I have tried this and I still can't find him on there. Apparently he is definately on there

I can't see how ancestry can't find It as I'm giving it edsactly the same info as someone else did

Could someone search for me then send me the link when they find it

Thanks much

Dont worry Ancestry can take a while to get used to!
I am assuming you have the Premium membership that allows you access to the medal rolls?
Ok go to Military then show all in the military section this leads you to medal rolls.
In the box make sure you click on "show advanced" on the top menu, this allows you to put a regiment and soldier number in.
Do not enter William as the first name just the initial W searches on Ancestry sometimes works to presice details.
I have just found him under W.Wright no problem.
Let me know how you get on.

Paul ;)
