Hello Paul,
I managed to miss this post, I like the Border Horse they were part of Brabants Colonial Division and were in the van of his columne that took part in the relief of Wepener, even though Gibb was not a member then, I dare say he sent much of his time with them running around the Cape Colony after Christian De Wet!
Regards Frank.

Hello Frank,

Thank you for your reply and the extra information on the Border Horse.
Excuse my ignorance but is that the same Brabants as the Brabants Horse?

Paul :)

Paul,
Edward Brabant raised Brabants Horse and commanded the Colonial Division, they spent much of their time in the Eastern Cape.

Paul,
He had two sons, one lost his life at Ladysmith during the siege with the Imperial Light Horse and the other was a Capt in the SAMIF.
