Misrepresentation? - the medal is already pricing higher than the norm for a Border Horse QSA - the buyer will feel aggrieved - caveat emptor and all that.

No excuse for not checking the medal roll - as David as shown it is quite clear.

The QSA to Trollip sold yesterday for R2,900 or £177 which reflects that he was not eligible for the Wepener clasp. I contacted the seller yesterday and he was clear that there was no entitlement to the clasp. His short write up did not reflect the certainty over its issue.

I ended up buying this group - has anyone the Brabant's Horse and K.F.S. attestation papers? Duffy served with both.

Captain Bowker, 1st Brabant’s Horse, was severely wounded at Spytfontein on 28 June 1901. His brother was also an officer in Brabant's Horse.

Joseph Heathcote was born near Derby enlisted 3/4/90 aged 18, served Malta, India and South Africa, discharged 27/8/02, only 83 Wepener clasps to regiment.
