Steve Watts' book 'In Memoriam' lists 4037 Private J. Hind 16th Lancers as dying on 30th September 1902 (no cause given) and being buried in Maitland Cemetery, Cape Town.

Justin, I have seen the memorial on the internet with J.Hind on the roll of honour. I might try and get a death certificate and see what that says. Thanks Mick.
