I agree David. Just yesterday I bought a medal from a chap who had bought it from Kaplan in 2013. Luckily he remembered what he had paid for it otherwise it's pure guess work.

That has not been the pattern thus far.

There were some lovely colonial officers’ QSAs in the auction. I thought the QSA to Capt Bousfield, ILI, was particularly nice..

Hi David
I also liked Bousfield and was successful at Kaplan’ss Auction. I have not managed to research him yet, other than to find out that his name was Hugh Miberley Bousfield, a Natalia’s who was later in command of the Merebank Boer prison camp. He died in about 1953.
Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
